1st Day of School 8-25-10

August 25th was the 1st day of School for Madalyn and Cole. Madalyn has been going to this pre-school since she was 18 months. She has loved it and overall had an excellent experience. This will be Cole's 1st experience in school.

Madalyn is with Ms. Kari and Ms. Val. She seems to really enjoy it. The class is so different from her class last year. Walking into get her last year it was so chaotic!!! This year they are so quiet and are always on task. This is great for a mommy who was a kindergarten teacher!!!

Cole is with Ms. Kerry and Ms. Norma. He seems to like it. He always talks about it and is excited about going. I know he cries part of the time but luckily not when I have to leave him. I had to get a few things done in the office and he was wailing when it was time to go to Chapel. And we had this conversation the other day.

My conversation with Cole-
Me- "What did you do at school today?"
Cole- "Cry"
Me- "Why?"
Cole- "Because I missed you..."

Can we say HEARTBREAKER!!!!!

Summer of 2010-August

So you ask yourself is there anyway we could have more fun and the answer is yes!!! August was filled with several fun events and amazingly it's not quite over yet...

For my mom's birthday on August 12th we took advantage of Resturaunt week and went to The Aquarium. It was hot( sense a theme?) but we had a great time. One of the funniest things happened during dinner. We were seated near an aquarium tank and Cole and Madalyn were watching the fish. Much to our surprise on one of the fish decided that Cole should be fish bait. It turned, opened it's mouth and headed straight towards, poor Cole!!! He jumped, turned and ran back to us, very shaken. While it scared him, it was pretty funny. And several tables around us thought so too. He proved to be the entertainment for the evening.





We also traveled with my cousin and his wife to Sheridan TX. What may you ask is in Sheridan? Well it is an AWESOME little waterpark that we had tons of fun at!!! If you get a chance check out Splashway Family Waterpark in Sheridan, you certainly won't regret it!!! Unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures of Madalyn on the slides. She was being timid about going on the slides and I had to put my camera down because Cole was a MANIAC on the slides...

Summer of 2010-July

June was so much fun and July was too!!! So much going on all the time!!!

The thing we look forward to all July is the Annual Round Top Parade; this year is no exception... We missed my dad immensely as he always enjoyed the parade too. We even met Governor Perry!!!

Boy was it hot!!!



Both kiddos were also enrolled in swimming lessons. This was Madalyn's 2nd summer and she is swimming like a fish. The coach had her swimming at least 8 laps a night... Jason wants her to try out swim team and we will see... Maybe next summer. Cole went through 2 cycles and we can really tell how he has improved. in Gammy and Papa's pool you really have to watch him because he will just dive in and "Reach and Pull!"

Summer of 2010-June

Since I didn't post much in the last few months I thought I would do a quick recap of the past few months...

Our June started off with a trip to Orange Beach, Alabama! We luckily beat the oil from the BP oil spill and had a fantastic time with our friends, the Simmons, Grigsbys', the soon to be Bacarisses' and the soon to be Earnests'.

Writers' Block...

So I don't know if this will be a new beginning or just another failed attempt to continue a on-line diary of what I used to be so good at. You see, we started out here:

Almost 5 years ago, gosh, that is hard to believe... It was a way to document my pregnancy with Madalyn and I did a pretty good job. Then my sweet little Cole came along and my posts got sparser and sparser. Now I have been really bad. Life with two kiddos and one on the way, that's right we are expecting baby #3 come October and I haven't posted in months.

So, I don't know if I will stay here on this blog, decide to head back to the website or just give it up all together. But I feel I should give it another shot and maybe the new atmosphere will give me some new ideas and I will be able to start over and continue over the next few years...
